A Meditation ....

People cannot see their reflection in runningwater, but only in still water.
This week, turn off the running water in your head and dive deeply into the quiet place behind your mind where you will find still water, the oh, so still pool that reflects the
real you.
Take three or four long, slow, deep breaths, focus on the pauses between breaths, and feel your consciousness shift.Visualize a pond with ripples in it, ripples caused by asoft wind. That is your mind, your thinking.
Now, as you breathe deeply, the ripples slow... slow... and then they stop. Now the pond is a clear mirror. Look into it. Yes, that is the real you....the calm and centered you who lives beneath the ripples of thought that probably keep your life stirred up and crazy much of the time.
Is not the calm better?
